Taman Sari - The Water Castle

Hai hai…. Since I did some travel  when I was in Yogyakarta (Jogja), I want to share my experiences more to you. The next place is Taman Sari.  It is kind of swimming pool that was used by Keraton families in the past. A bathing place for the Royal Family. That’s what I know (in general) about Taman Sari. The plase is big enough and has some pools. When I came inside, I could feel the Keraton atmosphere. The walls full of relief such as “Barong” and “Goose” pattern. They are so artistic and amazing, so beautiful. I enjoyed and got so much fun. I felt like I step back to the past, a very long time ago when then glory of the kingdom was.

There are two big swimming pools. The first one is bigger than the other one, and separated by a bridge in the center. The smaller pool is beautiful too and beside it, there is a big wide fitting room. As far as I observed, I think every room doesn’t have door. I mean door that you can close-open, you can lock it. They just have some windows, without the glass that make the air sirculation better.

So anyway, that day was in the weekend. I went there with my friend. We had plan to go there in the morning at 09:00 am from my boarding house. I took a shower earlier, had breakfast, make the bed and bla bla bla. When I was ready I just chill out while waiting my friend come. One hour later, at nine o’clock my friend didn’t come yet . Waiting and waiting, three hours later she finally came. She arrived at 12:00 pm or so, and I thought we better go after praying.

We went to Taman Sari by “go car” as it would take a long time if we go on foot, moreover the weather was very hot. Fortunatelly, we don’t get traffic jam on our way. After arriving, we bought the ticket. It’s only Rp 5000 for local tourist. Then, we went around and took pictures  as many and good as we want until my phone got low battery. By the way, there was a guy coming near to us and offering help to take us picture together. What a kind guy!  After that, we were going to Karaton after having lunch. Unfortunatelly my phone died, so we decided to go back to my boarding  house.

So, thank you for all whom reading my story. If you have any comments or questions, please drop your words in the comment section down below. Have a nice day people!
